Results for the 4 July 2026 sitting were published on Friday 4 September 2026 — the official Examination Service list (a 17-page PDF of candidate numbers only, no names). Certificates are handed out 7–10 September 2026 at Megaron 23 (Μεγάρων 23), 2032 Strovolos – Nicosia, Room 5, ground floor — on the day and time assigned to your band of candidate numbers. You can collect in person (with your ID card, passport or original ARC) or send someone else with a handwritten authorisation form.
Where to check the 4 July 2026 results
The results are published as a single PDF: the 4 July 2026 results list. It contains candidate numbers only — no names, and no individual marks.
One document covers both rooms of that day — the 09:00 and the 11:00 sitting: the papers were different, but the results were published together.

Your exact mark is not published — only the section you fall into. There is usually no separate result email either: you check the list yourself.
How to find your candidate number
Your candidate number is in the original email from the Examination Service sent a few days before the exam, with the date, time, venue and your number. It is the only way to find yourself in the list, because names are not published.
If you no longer have that email, check your spam folder and search by the sender. Otherwise the only way to recover the number is through the Examination Service itself.
How many people passed the 4 July 2026 exam
The official list contains 2,861 candidate numbers. The Ministry does not publish summary statistics, so the figures below are our own count of the numbers in the published PDF:

So 1,805 candidates — 63.1% cleared the PR threshold (≥ 50%). Candidate numbers ran up to 3268 while the list holds 2,861 of them, which suggests roughly 400 registered candidates did not sit the exam.
When and where to collect the certificate for the 4 July 2026 exam
The certificate is only handed over in person at the Examination Service office — it is not posted to you and there is no electronic version.

The bands come from the official announcement, and every number in the pass lists falls inside exactly one of them. You must come in your own slot — certificates are not handed out on other days or hours. The announcement does not say what happens if you miss your dates; in that case contact the Examination Service directly.
What to bring when collecting the certificate
You must bring one identity document:
- your ID card,
- your passport,
- or the original ARC (έντυπο εγγραφής αλλοδαπού) — a copy is not accepted.
Know your candidate number as well: that is how staff find you in the lists. Without a document, no certificate is issued.
Can someone else collect the certificate for you
Yes — but only with an authorisation form, and the rule is strict: the announcement states plainly that without this procedure no certificate will be handed over.
The person collecting on your behalf needs two things:
- The authorisation form — ΕΞΟΥΣΙΟΔΟΤΗΣΗ (PDF), the specific form for the 4/7/2026 exam. The PDF has no fillable fields: print it, fill it in by hand, and it must be signed by you, the candidate.
- Their own identity document — ID card, passport or original ARC, and specifically the one whose number is written on the form.
The form asks for:
- your name and your ID / passport / ARC number;
- your candidate number;
- the name and ID / passport / ARC number of the person you authorise;
- your signature and the date.
The announcement does not require the authorisation to be notarised — the official form, filled in and signed by you, is what is asked for.
Pass marks
It is one exam, but the pass mark depends on why you are taking it:

The Ministry never announces the publication date in advance, and it takes far longer than a month. Work with a 2–2.5 months after the exam window; certificate collection starts a few days after publication (3–5 days in 2026).
How to use the certificate
The certificate confirms you passed the examination for sufficient knowledge of the basic elements of the contemporary political and social reality of Cyprus. It is valid indefinitely and is attached to your application:
- for PR (long-term resident status) — a certificate with a result of ≥ 50% is enough;
- for citizenship (naturalization) — you need a certificate with ≥ 60% plus a separate Greek language certificate.
Submit the certificate with the rest of your file to the Civil Registry and Migration Department.
Failed — when you can retake
If you did not reach the required percentage, you can retake the exam at one of the next sittings — it is held twice a year (spring, February–March, and summer, July). The next opportunity is the spring 2027 sitting; the Ministry will announce the exact date and registration window at the end of 2026. There is no limit on attempts; you re-register and pay the €20 fee for each sitting.

What do I need to bring to collect the certificate?
Your ID card, passport or the original ARC — a copy of the ARC is not accepted. Know your candidate number too. Without a document no certificate is issued.
Can someone else collect my certificate?
Yes, with an authorisation form. They must bring the official ΕΞΟΥΣΙΟΔΟΤΗΣΗ form, filled in by hand and signed by you, plus their own ID card, passport or original ARC — the exact document whose number is written on the form. Without this procedure no certificate is handed over. The announcement does not ask for notarisation.
Can I get the certificate by post or as a digital file?
No. It is only handed over in person at the Examination Service office — either to you or to the person you authorise. It is not posted and there is no electronic version.
Will results be emailed to me?
Usually no — you check the published list yourself. Successful candidates collect a paper certificate in person on their assigned day.

You can retake at the next sitting — the next one is in spring 2027, with the exact date announced at the end of 2026. There is no limit on attempts, but you must re-register and pay the €20 fee again.
